Merve Ayşe Köseoğlu Güngörmezler

She was born in Istanbul in 1987. She graduated from Hacettepe University's Department of Political Science and Public Administration and completed her master's degree in popular culture and gender studies at the same university's Faculty of Communication. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in the Department of Sociology at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.

For over a decade, she has been exploring the not-so-unrelated facets of civil society, such as nature, refugee rights, women's rights, civic participation, and local development. She has volunteered, worked professionally, written and implemented projects, conducted fieldwork, attended meetings, and asked herself, "How can we do this locally?"

She is a founding member of the Çanakkale Local Development Association. She is also a co-founder of ÇemberDE. Since its establishment, she has been responsible for the association's programs, organizational structure, and field work. She continues to serve as co-general coordinator; therefore, she is closely involved in ensuring that ideas in ÇemberDE do not remain merely good ideas.
