Our policies

  • As the Circle Civil Initiative Association, we act in accordance with our established policies in all our activities, and we share all our policies with the public in writing.

  • We review all our policies as needed, at least once a year, and make necessary updates with the approval of the board.

  • We formulate all our policies in accordance with our vision and mission, and we prioritize preparing each one with a rights-based approach.

Gender Equality Policy

At ÇemberDE, we consider gender equality to be the indispensable foundation of all our work.

We adopt an approach that prioritizes the empowerment of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ individuals, and creates safe, accessible, and inclusive spaces.

With our Gender Equality Policy, we are committed to taking concrete steps to strengthen equality and justice, both in our internal operations and in our societal impact.

Gender-Based Violence Prevention Policy

At ÇemberDE, we take a clear stance against all forms of gender-based violence.

This policy defines gender-based violence as a specific type of violence; it also outlines our responsibility in this area and our methods of combating it.

Building safe spaces, highlighting power imbalances, and protecting the rights of every individual is our roadmap with this policy. Through preventative and restorative approaches, we aim to build a non-violent community.

Safe Zone Policy

The Circle prioritizes creating spaces where each individual can exist with their own identity and express themselves without fear of harm.

Our safe space policy aims to build an inclusive, responsive, and consent-based culture in all our physical and digital encounters.

We take a clear stance against discrimination, oppression, and border violations, and we encourage open communication and restorative approaches. We embrace the concept of safe spaces not just as a principle, but as a constantly evolving area of responsibility.

Our Psychosocial Support Policy defines safe and inclusive support processes that are based on scientific knowledge, adhere to ethical principles, and are conducted in collaboration with experts.

We aim to strengthen healing after traumatic experiences, community solidarity, and an accessible support structure for everyone.

Transparency Policy

At Çember, transparency is not just a principle; it is a prerequisite for building trust and sharing common responsibility.

We are committed to conducting our decision-making processes, resource utilization, relationships, and activities in an open, understandable, and traceable manner.

Through our transparency policy, we support our communities' equal and timely access to information and aim to strengthen a culture of accountability.
