In this episode of the ÇemberDE Podcast, we discuss the famous Brussels study visit and the face-to-face encounters within the scope of the Migrant Women Support Project . Joining Gülfer Kırbaş, Sevginur Bakır, and İlknur Tel, we explore a wide range of topics, from workshops conducted with Turkish women living in Belgium to legal and consular processes, psychological support areas, and the civil society structure in Brussels.

"Even though borders may change, women's solidarity and struggle for rights know no boundaries."

In this section:

  • Brussels Field Observations: The functioning of civil society and public cooperation models and support mechanisms for women in Belgium,

  • The Two Faces of Migration: The loneliness, language barrier, and sense of being caught between two worlds that lie behind the perception of "going to a better country."

  • Loss of Rights and Legal Realities: Protection of assets in Turkey, erroneous practices in consulates, and injustices experienced during divorce proceedings.

  • The "Tree Planting Activity" implemented in the Workshop on Migration and Women, and the stories of solidarity among women as told in words, are discussed.

To build connections that transcend borders, to strengthen our shared struggle, and to say "You Are Not Alone"... 💜
